Lavender Town

“Lavender Town”, which I released on Platonic Ideal in 2026, is in every sense a successor to "A Course in Miracles". It is, in fact, a second concept record about Sylvia, the spiralling suburbanite “witch” who is unfortunately my avatar. In "Lavender Town", Sylvia has been damned to hell, and is desperately searching for ways to communicate with the living ones who wronged her. This supernatural quest sees her feuding with Nicolai Tesla, discovering her natural ability to haunt online media, and finally succumbing to her karmic fate. To support the storyline of this album, I created a 6 month video series which unveils, over the course of five single releases, the pitch-black comedy at the heart of this album. You can watch it on my Instagram.

I recorded “Lavender Town” live off the floor with co-producer/guitarist Sofia Miller, and a good ole band of brothers, including James Bings (drums), Brayden Wright (bass), and Vincent Dupuis (keyboards). Due to the generosity of our fine Canadian government, via the Canada Council of the Arts, I was able to do all of this at Victoria’s Dream Club Studios, with engineer-mixer Austin Tufts.
